After over three years of trying different businesses, including food photography, online boutiques, small business promoting, pro-blogging (at least my attempt at it), essential oils, boutique marketing, motherhood coaching and blog design, this weekend it finally hit me where the heart of my passion in business lies: BRANDING. Branding a business is my absolute favorite part of the whole thing. Once that’s over, I like the business, but my passion dwindles.
I attended the Prosperity Summit this weekend and happened to sit next to Kim Flynn during one session. She leaned over and told me how she’s been invited to be a part of an international speaking circuit, but they told her she needed to re-brand prior to joining them as a speaker. Much to her surprise, I agreed. I outlined the areas where I thought her branding was missing her target market and how I thought she could improve her branding. She was so thrilled with my branding perspective and advice that she had me come to lunch with her to discuss everything further.
Kim kept saying, “Quinn! This is your gift!” as she was amazed over and over again by my ideas and counsel. I was shocked, thinking how much fun it would be to just focus on helping businesses with their branding for my business. Business had always seemed like there were parts that were so hard, but branding comes so naturally to me. It always has. I absolutely adore it.
Here’s a little video of me with Kim, announcing her biggest branding change:
I do think I have a knack for being able to uncover an entrepreneur’s brand from within them and then assist them in expressing their brand in their graphic design, web design, marketing materials and physical appearance. It’s always been easy for me to see into people’s hearts and have a good sense of who they are at the core. In business, this comes in handy because I can see what elements would be effective in communicating an entrepreneur’s intention, personality and business in a visual way that is sure to be classic, updated and powerful in reaching their target market.
As I stepped into this natural gift this weekend, I received an overwhelming response from fellow entrepreneurs and have already got a week of appointments (paying clients) lined up with many more looking to connect with me soon as well.
When you find your passion, it lights everything else in your life on fire, including leading clients in need of your services to your path. I’ve never done anything in business that felt this natural and so “me.” I’ve enjoyed my other business endeavors, but this one takes the cake. I’m having a blast!
p.s. My book is sooooo stinkin’ close to being released for sale. Will definitely be up by the end of the week! Sooooo excited for that as well! Yay!!

This is so awesome Quinn, and it totally makes sense! Especially for you as a visionary, you’ve got all these great ideas, and you love to start new things up, so helping with branding other people’s businesses makes perfect sense for you! I’m so excited to see where this goes! And like I said before, I definitely need help with this! :) And I’m excited to talk more with you about where I see myself in the next year…. Pretty exciting… :) Anyway, love ya! We need to talk!

Awesome! I love you, both! I’m so glad that you could help each other. :) I’m sad that I missed the Prosperity Summit. Family illness that came up on Friday and set me back on the things I needed to get done. It sounds like it was wonderful!

You go girl! Hey my sister (age 23) is interested in selling DoTerra, are you still doing that? She has quite a bit of health problems (rather severe fibromyalgia) and would love to be mentored and trained on how to get involved with DoTerra, not only do I think it would be a great fit for her job wise, but also for her own personal health benefits. I wasn’t sure how that worked on getting into it as a consultant.
Also, I have just been appointed Brown Floral’s Social Media Manager, so I would love to set an appointment up with you and pick your brain on some things I can do for the business (do you have consult pricing?)
I was hoping you and mom could chat a little bit but she is so overwhelmed with the million other things she has to oversee, so she has delegated the party we talked about over to me. Would you still be interested? Maybe it would be great for promoting your new book? (which I can’t wait to read bytheway) I would love to have you as our featured guest speaker, but no worries if it is one too many things for you, I TOTALLY understand!
Sorry lots to talk to you about I guess, I know you are a VERY busy woman so let me know how I can compensate you for your time, I would appreciate any help you can give me!
